Positions

Port of Long Beach (2018)|Communications Intern

I was in charge of coordinating the Farmers’ Market Outreach Campaign, which allowed our team to speak to residents about the Port of Long Beach. As well as composed articles for Dock Talk (Port of Long Beach's employees' newsletter) and the YourPort Community Newsletter, which targets 50,000 community members. I also assisted with more than 60 special events, outreach activities, meetings and workshops. Which included the State of the Port, State of the City, Harbor Tours, District specific community events, educational workshops, and other local Long Beach events.

During this Internship, I had the opportunity to learn about the Port of Long Beach and increase positive brand awareness by delivering the Port's key messages during Harbor Tours and community outreach booths. As a result, I have improved my presentation and public speaking skills.

Keller Williams Realty (2014) | Administrative Intern

As an administrative intern, I would update home listings for a variety of homes in different cities for the office every week. I expanded my communication skills by answering around 40 to 50 calls every day which provided information about the company to customers. Lastly, I created a database for recent home sales, the information would be easily accessible for realtors and could be used for future reference.

Camp Fire U.S.A (2015) | Administrative Intern

As an administrative intern, I created advertising material to promote Camp Fire's biggest event; Camp Wintaka. During events, I would assist the director in registering campers and made sure all information collected was filed accordingly. I also improved my negotiation skills by contacting a variety of businesses for possible donations for our non-profit organization. I was tasked to organized past files of financial and employee reports for Camp Fire employees to easily access when needed.

Noribachi (2018) | Marketing Intern

I was tasked to manage the Noribachi, CheapHighbays and LEDfullspectrum social media accounts which include; Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. I also would create product-focused content on a weekly basis to post on these platforms. Whenever the company had new products, I would have to update their websites( Noribachi, CheapHighbays and LEDfullspectrum) with new images, a description of the product and pricing. Lastly, I would design and consolidate marketing collateral to assist in the sales of various LED products and advertising campaigns.

The consistent interaction through our social media platforms helped the company gain a significant amount of followers on its various platforms, create better relationships with customers and provide them with examples of customer testimonials about our LED products.
